Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Cotswolds, this charming country retreat offers the perfect base for exploring the surrounding natural beauty and visiting nearby attractions such as Gloucester Cathedral and Stratford-upon-Avon. the rooms are spacious and clean, with thoughtful touches like ironing facilities and a sewing kit. the breakfast spread is delicious, and the hosts are friendly and attentive. Plus, the peaceful location provides stunning views of the countryside.
Although most aspects of the hotel were excellent, it would have been nice to have an extra towel provided for our party of three.

I recently stayed at a charming bed & breakfast in a secluded location with beautiful views of the countryside. The room at Detmore House was tastefully decorated and filled with thoughtful touches like an iron, ironing board, and even a sewing kit. The owners were incredibly friendly and the breakfast they served was excellent. I especially loved the full hearty breakfast to start my day off right. The location was also perfect for me as I had a vintage car that required safe parking, and the long private drive provided just that. it was a wonderful stay and I will definitely be returning.

Best aspects of my xmas stay: the location was perfect, nestled in the heart of the English countryside. the views from the hotel were breathtaking, with rolling hills and picturesque landscapes. the owners were friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had a pleasant stay. the rooms were spacious and clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of exploring.
Worst aspects of my xmas stay: Unfortunately, there were a few negatives to our experience. the lack of a bar was disappointing, as we would have loved to enjoy a festive drink in the cozy atmosphere.
